Intent is rooting for an edible Salt Lake City. This is a network to provide premium organic produce to local raw food superheros. We are doing this through the organization of urban growers and CSAs into a raw foodie collective. Contact us if you would like to be considered for participation.
Construction of a twenty-six foot geodesic greenhouse was completed in the summer of 2008. We harvested brocolli, cabbage, tomatoes, peppers and cantelope in December. They were planted in September. This four-season grow dome is ideal for growing Mediterranean food high in the Rocky Mountains. It is also part of a backyard urban sanctuary that will serve as a model for the self-sufficient growing of organic backyard produce using the power of Sun, Earth and Sacred Geometry. We're look forward to eating fresh fig and kiwi in 2009.

REOCCURING EVENTS SLC Green Drinks Every month people who work in the environmental field meet up for a beer at informal sessions known as Green Drinks. Salt Lake City Green Team The Green Team advises the Mayor on environmental needs, assists with community outreach, and hosts guest speakers on environmental issues in our community. SLC Photo Club SLC Photo Club is a fun group of people who meet every other week to take and share pictures with each other. Every 4 months or so, members have an opportunity to hang their work in an exhibit based on the clubs current theme. Check the Forums to see when the next club meeting will be held. |
